Throughout the year you will notice changes to our menu; we work hard to incorporate traditional East Coast dishes with innovative new dishes using the best of the season. With a passion for food our team, lead by Executive Chef Sonia Potichnyj, continuously work to create inventive flavour combinations. With a focus on sustainably products John & Sons Oyster House is happy to use Seafood adhering to the standards set by Ocean Wise. Ocean Wise is a Vancouver Aquarium conservation program created to educate and empower consumers about the issues surrounding sustainable seafood. To take the guess work out for our guests we have included an Ocean Wise symbol beside all of our dishes containing sustainable fish products. For more information check out their website.
Our passion for oysters makes it important for us to serve the best possible oysters available; with that in mind our bed changes daily. We offer anywhere from 6 to 12 varieties on any given day depending on the season. If you have questions, just ask. Our staff is happy to help - and if you are really interested strike up a conversation with our Raw Bar Manager, Mark Moore. Hailing from PEI this guy is your man if you want to know anything about oysters!
Interested in taking some oysters home with you? Want to add a little somethin' somethin' to your next event? We offer oysters to go, shucked or unshucked, with all the accompaniments taken care of. We also offer Oyster Catering available for events of any size.
